Colette King:    The moment I put my hands in clay at a local pottery studio, I knew my life long passion would be clay. As a potter and a sculptor I am fascinated by its endless boundaries from hand building to wheel throwing and sculpture. While sculpted flowers are my specialty I enjoy sculpting animals and portraitures in water and oil based clay.

As a member of the Oklahoma Sculpture Society I have been given many opportunities to further my skills as well as show my work.

My educational background includes workshops with widely known artist/potter Tom Coleman, as well as sculptors Rosalind Cook and Philippe Faraut.

My first bronze castings were a joint venture with other local artists, these life size pieces can be seen at the entrance of the Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka, OK.
